Ok, Let’s Get to Know Your Skin First 🤎
With any new skin product, I know—you’re ready to open that jar and get straight to the good part! But before you go all in, give your skin a little introduction, especially if it tends to be sensitive.
Start small.
Choose a small spot on the inside of your arm or the bend of your elbow. Apply just enough product to cover a quarter-sized area, using the same thickness you normally would.
Give it a little time.
For a leave-on moisturizer like body butter, test the same spot twice daily for 7–10 days. One quiet day doesn’t tell the whole story!
Testing a scrub? Make sure you rinse it off —don’t leave it on overnight.
Listen to your skin.
Watch for itching, redness, swelling, burning, or discomfort. If something feels off, gently wash the product away and stop using it. A reaction isn’t something to push through. If it’s severe or doesn’t settle, contact a dermatologist.
Ease into your routine.
No reaction? That’s encouraging! Introduce the product as directed, but keep paying attention. An at-home test can’t guarantee that irritation or an allergy won’t develop later.
Your skin gets a say in your self-care - Let’s listen. 🤎
